Masquerade Ball

Saturday, October 22nd
7:00 PM

All Hallows' Eve is fast approaching!
Celebrate the season (or scare away the shadows) at our
Masquerade Ball!

Purchase Tickets online here.

(Due to possible adult themes, we recommend that guests be at least 16.)

Enjoy an evening of English Country Dance under candlelight at The Fort at No. 4.  Our Dance Mistress, Madam Bourdon, will walk all of us through the the dance steps, then Tobias and Prudence (wonderful musicians that they are) will set the pace!

The Ball itself will take place in the museum's Great Hall! We suggest that you dress in layers for your personal comfort (one never knows what the weather will be like at the end of October here on the Connecticut River...). You may wish to have two pairs of shoes with you, one pair for the dance, one pair for walking about the court yard (uneven ground).

When you are ready to take a rest from dancing, warm yourself by the fire and enjoy a light repast in our reception room.

History Bounding, Historical Dress (pre-1950), Cosplay, and Steam-punk "costumes" are most welcome!

A note about masks. Masquerade masks, the type that cover the upper portion of the face are optional.

Tickets are $25 per individual, or $40 if purchased in pairs (a couple).
You may purchase tickets here: Masked Ball Tickets

Please note: the dance is intended for those 16 years of age and older.
