Saturday, October 23rd
7:00 PM $25/Single $40/Couple
Join us on Saturday, October 23rd for our Masked Ball! What better way for to celebrate the season (All Hallows Eve is right around the corner!!).
The dance begins at 7:00 PM and will take place in the museum’s Great Hall. Dance Mistress Madam Bourdon will take all dancers through the dance steps before calling the dance. Once the dance begins Toby and Prudence (fine musicians that they are) will keep the tempo lively!
When you need to take a break from dancing, warm yourself by the fire in our reception room while you enjoy some light refreshments in our reception area.
Or perhaps, you would like to indulge in an 18th century pastime (ok, maybe not here in New England, but still…) with the reading of the tarot cards!
Wear garb from your favorite decade or century (up to 1950 is great!), steampunk (think Jules Vern), or cosplay. Dressing in layers for your comfort is recommended. You may wish to wear sensible shoes walking to the dance; you will be crossing uneven ground and we never know if there will be rain (or snow…), then put on your dancing slippers once inside.
A Mask in the style of a masquerade (around the eyes and nose) is optional. We do suggest that you have a mouth and nose covering mask and a pair of cotton gloves on standby should those become a necessity: if this happens, we will let all dance goers know by email, on FB, and herein.
Our Masked Ball is geared toward a mature audience; we suggest no one younger than aged 16 years of age.
