Join us the first two weekend in December as River Theater Company of Charlestown, in collaboration with The Fort at No. 4, present A Christmas Carol: An Immersive Theater Experience !
Step into the past at Old Number 4 and experience an enduring tale of Christmastime redemption!
Audience members and cast will travel through the village of Number 4 in a combination of OUT-OF-DOORS and INDOORS locations recreating the Georgian and Victorian experience of A Christmas Carol! Perhaps, just perhaps, the village will have a hint of winter snow to add to the magic of this tale!

–Costs–
Tickets for each experience are $25 per person!
Performances are strictly limited! NO EXCEPTIONS!
A portion of the proceeds from this theater experience will go towards fuel assistance programming!
–What to Wear–
A Christmas Carol will be staged on the grounds of The Fort at No. 4 Open-Air Museum during the month of December (2021). This may mean rain, it may mean snow, it could be sunny and warm. Audience members will be walking over uneven ground, going in and out of buildings, and up and down a set of stairs; audience members will also be standing during much of the experience.
While there will be fires going in buildings, this does not mean that buildings will be warm!! We strongly suggest that audience members dress in layers for personal comfort, and wear sensible, sturdy footwear!
Don’t forget your mask! It is that time of year when colds and flue abound, and patrons will be in close proximity to each other and performers for an extended period of time, so let’s not take chances. Please wear a mask which covers your nose and mouth.
–Inclement Weather Policy–
Should we need to delay the start of a performance, interrupter a performance, or cancel a performance due to safety or weather conditions, we will post that information to the Fort’s website, River Theater Company’s page, and the official Facebook page for the fort.
There will be no refunds or exchanges if a performance is not officially cancelled!
River Theater Company and The Fort at No. 4 are pleased to be sharing this holiday tradition with you, your family and friends, and we’re grateful for your understanding if we are forced to adjust a performance for safety or weather related reasons.
